Young Artists Theatre Conservatory
Young Artists Theatre Conservatory (YATC) is the next step in professional theatrical training for the young adults of Central Oregon ages 15-21. Through a comprehensive trimester program, YATC will provide a complete education in the theatre arts punctuated with a progressive series of student productions.
YATC employs the most experienced and knowledgeable theatrical professionals residing in Central Oregon to share their real world skills with the very talented and deserving young people of our region.
ITW’s Artistic Director Brad Hills says:
“We believe the young people interested in pursuing a career in theatre or film have already received fundamental instruction from their high schools or the various children’s theatre organizations or acting coaches in town. The goal of YATC is to offer them the “next step” and provide the advanced professional level training necessary to give them a real leg up on the competition they will face in the real world.”
Children’s Theatre Workshop
The Children’s Theatre Workshop is wonderful place for young children ages 6-12 years old to learn about the art of theater, acting, character building, emotions, staging, scripting and more. Games, music and more will be incorporated into the sessions to help encourage children to open up, have fun and explore their inner actor. It’s a terrific opportunity for children to gain confidence, learn to work together with others, get out their “sillys” and be a part of a fantastic art form.
